Daybreak believes that missions start at home. We believe that a church needs to reach out locally before reaching across the world.
Daybreakers are involved in a number of outreach ministries with hands-on help, as well as financial resources.

Assurance is an alternative to abortion clinics in Lexington, Kentucky. They offer abortion information & pregnancy services to those in need in Central Kentucky.
Daybreak is unashamedly pro-life and the first ministry that Daybreak supported financially was Assurance.
Three past presidents of Assurance's Board were involved at Daybreak.
Many Daybreakers walk in the annual "Love Walk" that helps raise fun for Assurance. Others volunteer their time at the Center, and one Daybreak family has served as a "receiving" family for newborns who are awaiting adoption.

Step By Step provides compassionate assistance to underprivileged single mothers and their children by offering them a safe, loving atmosphere where they can heal, learn and grow. They offer workshops, retreats, and support groups on topics such as parenting, life skills, budgeting, education, Christian faith, sexual purity and more. They are shown the love of Christ and encouraged to surrender their lives to Him.
Daybreakers have served as volunteers for Step by Step. We also have cooked for their group meetings.

All God's Children has been providing care, treatment, and education to parents and their children since 1999. The work has taken many forms, but their guiding principles are the same: The family is the most powerful influence in the world. And it's worth fighting for. They currently offer Foster Care, Solarity Counseling, and Day Care.
Daybreak was privileged to help at the very beginning stages on this ministry by helping to remodel a garage into offices and help in the construction of a new play center.

The Hope Center
Daybreak serves at the Hope Center every fifth Monday, or four times a year. During the "12 Days of Christmas" at the Hope Center, Daybreakers not only serve the meal, but also purchase and prepare the meal for the homeless of Lexington. Last year, over 50 Daybreakers helped! Daybreakers have also taught classes at the Hope Center. The mission of the Hope Center is to help individuals with homelessness and substance abuse disorders.

God's Pantry is a food bank that helps individuals all across central and eastern Kentucky. They help about 280,000 different people every month across 50 counties in Kentucky. Their mission is "to reduce hunger by working together to feed Kentucky communities.

The Lexington Rescue Mission provides Christ-centered services that meets the physical, emotional, and spiritual needs of those who are struggling with homeless, poverty, and addiction in Lexington. The mission serves free breakfast and lunche to the public Monday - Saturday. They help with basic needs like hygiene items, socks, and underwear. They run a Homeless Intervention Program to help people find affordable apartments. They also partner with other groups to offer job training and medical and addiction treatment.

YoungLives is a "mentor-ministry for teen moms designed to encourage, empower, and support young moms with the love of Jesus." They offer local events and a monthly Club to build friendships and community for young mothers and their babies. Daybreak provides dinner for their Club a few times a year.
