I started today’s blog twice before writing this one. Here are the highlights of the day.
I needed the booster last evening and I will need one each evening until enough stem cells are harvested for two transplants. I had no clue how many stem cells that would be. Not all that many. Just six million! The hope is for 2.1 million a day. I haven’t received the word on the total for today. All I will say is that the challenge is more in the changes in my body than in lying in a bed for almost six hours hooked to a machine. As bad as I have felt today, I still think I look healthier than any other patient in the waiting room. I will try to give more insight tomorrow. A nap before the evening booster might help.
